Time to Put Your House on the Market and Move to The Canoe Club

Real estate nationwide has continued to boom, according to this article in KeepingCurrentMatters.com.

If you are not sure if now is a good time to put your current house on the market, consider this:  Buyer demand has been strong most of the year and remains strong heading into the fall. ShowingTime, which tracks the average number of buyer showings on residential properties, just announced that buyer showings are up 61.9% compared to the same time last year. They went on to say: “Normally, real estate activity begins to slow down in the late summer, but this year it peaked in July, August and into September.”

What this means for the home seller is that homes are selling quickly and at top dollar.  Available houses for sale have been low for quite a while.  And, even though homebuilders are increasing construction, they are unable to keep up with the high demand. Bill McBride, founder of the Calculated Risk blog, in discussing inventory of newly constructed houses, notes:

“The months of supply decreased to 3.3 months…This is the all-time record low months of supply.”

The Canoe Club is proud to be partnered with New Leaf Homes, Jeff Lindsey Communities, and Simply Southern Traditional Homes.
